In order to run C++ PMI-suite apps (all but Byonic and Preview which are developed in Java), the CPU should support AVX instruction set (this is a hardware specification), which is required to process C++ tensorflow.dll instructions.
This library (tensorflow.dll) was introduced in PMI-Suite 4.x versions, in order to run Machine-Learning models involved in Feature Finder in 4.x versions. In this way, the latest version that can be run without it is 3.11. This is indicated in System-Requirements section on our website (see https://proteinmetrics.com/support-information/#system-requirements)
For users working with Virtual Machines, hardware specifications are usually "easier" to upgrade that those using physical workstations. Please, contact your IT department to see if there is a way to upgrade your device to support AVX instructions or alternatively swap device.
In order to check if your PC supports AVX you can check link [1] below. [2] leads you to the app to check it.
