Byos reports are built from a series of tabs, with each tab displaying a different view of the data (for example, summary information, pivot tables or plots). Users have two options when it comes to saving their report configurations: saving the entire report template, which includes all tabs, or saving an individual tab as its own preset.
Saving individual tab presets is particularly useful because it allows a single tab configuration to be reused and shared across multiple report templates, rather than having to recreate the same tab setup each time it's needed.
How to save a tab preset
To save an individual tab as a preset:
1. Open an existing report template.
2. Select the tab you want to save as a preset and name it accordingly.
3. From the File menu, choose Save to File.
4. Enter a name for the tab preset.
5. Select tabc as the file type.
6. Save the file.
Once saved, the tab preset can be loaded into any other report template, making it easy to maintain consistent tab configurations across different reports without duplicating setup work.
