Stay ahead of your analysis needs with fold change reports: your tool for efficient, insightful mass spectrometry data reporting. This new feature is designed to streamline your mass spectrometry analysis across your studies. This capability simplifies the process of identifying and reporting meaningful changes in your data, allowing you to focus on the results that matter.
Benefits:
- Comprehensive Study Overview: Automatically report fold changes across an entire study with just a few clicks.
- Quick Outlier Identification: Spot trends and outliers instantly with visual tools, ensuring faster decision-making.
- Seamless Data Sharing in Byosphere: Extend key insights throughout your organization to help teams rapidly pinpoint issues in bioprocessing, improving efficiency.
- Support for Multiple Samples: Process more than two samples at once, making comparisons across complex datasets effortless.
With this feature, you can reduce the time needed for manual data review from weeks to just minutes, empowering your team to make faster, data-driven decisions and home in on weak points in your bioprocess.
Key Highlights of Fold Change Reporting:
Customizable Threshold Settings
Analysts have the flexibility to set a specific fold change threshold to filter out smaller, less relevant changes. This ensures that only significant differences are reported, while still providing visibility into all relevant data if a feature of interest emerges. In the example above, any identification that has less than a 2-fold change across samples will not be identified.
Accurate Comparisons to a Reference Sample & Monitor Peaks of Interest Across Multiple Samples
The fold change tab within reports compares non-reference samples against a designated reference sample. Only features that exceed the minimum fold change threshold, set during the project creation, are displayed. This ensures that you are only presented with the most relevant data, filtering out insignificant variations.
When comparing several non-reference samples to a single reference, the new reporting feature ensures that if a peak meets or exceeds the fold change threshold in any one sample, the corresponding apex intensity and fold change will be shown for all samples. This is crucial in tracking peaks of interest, such as in a time-course stability study, where you may want to observe how a new peak evolves across earlier and later time points—even if it doesn’t meet the threshold in every sample.
Efficient Outlier Detection
With Byos, you can easily highlight outliers using a heatmap and/or a variety of chart options to visually monitor a trend line in your dashboard through Byosphere. This helps non-experts quickly identify critical variations and share insights across the organization, making complex data accessible and actionable for all stakeholders.
