Congratulations! Your Byosphere instance is installed and configured. This document walks you through submitting your first job to your Byosphere server. We will be using a standard data set that is already copied to your server.
You should have received the following information from your system administrator already:
- The Byosphere Server URL or IP address
- Your username (e.g. your email address) and an email inviting you to set up your password
Note: If not, please contact your system administrator to obtain this information before continuing
The goal of this document is to make sure the end users can login, submit jobs, and view results. Please follow the step-by-step instructions strictly. Note that this document is not meant to serve as training material or replace the manual. Good luck!
Launch the Byosphere Web Client application with a web browser
Open the Virtual Client and PTM Workflow
Click the Virtual Client Icon from the Web Client Tool Bar to open your Virtual Client instance. Note: It can take about a minute for your Virtual Client instance to get started the first time you open it for a working session.
Then click the PTM Workflow Icon.
- Add data file
- Add fasta file
- Submit a job
- You should see a confirmation dialog
- You can close the workflow window now
See your job running on the server
You can see the job in the Jobs tab in the Byosphere Virtual Client
Job completion update
You should receive an email when the job is complete. Click on the link in the email to access the web client
Notification of job completion is also signaled on the Web Client Notification tab.
